FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPING IN DENTON, TX

Test the idea in your hands.

Functional prototyping connects CAD design with physical parts you can inspect, assemble, and evaluate. 3DPrintLab supports product development in Denton, Dallas–Fort Worth, and nationwide.

01 / PROJECT DETAILS

Define the question

A useful prototype answers a specific question: Does it fit? Can it be assembled? Is the interaction right? Identify what you need to learn before choosing the build approach.

02 / PROJECT DETAILS

Make the first physical version

We review geometry, material, dimensions, and intended use before fabrication. Share mating components and critical clearances so the prototype addresses the right constraints.

03 / PROJECT DETAILS

Review and refine

Compare the prototype with the original requirements. Record fit issues, assembly changes, and user feedback, then use those observations to guide a revised design.

04 / PROJECT DETAILS

Plan the next build

Appearance models, fit-check parts, and functional prototypes have different requirements. Production quantities, materials, tolerances, and validation steps are scoped separately as the design develops.

ENGINEER-LED / MADE IN TEXAS

Bring the requirements. We’ll work through the build.

3DPrintLab combines engineering design and fabrication in one studio. Start with your use case, dimensions, quantity, and target date. We confirm scope, feasibility, material, and timing before production.

Serving Denton and the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with shipping available nationwide. Local pickup or delivery is arranged by project.

BEFORE YOU SEND THE PROJECT

Project questions, answered.

01What is the difference between a prototype and a production part?+

A prototype is built to evaluate an idea or requirement. Production parts need an agreed design and fabrication specification. Passing a visual or fit check does not by itself establish long-term performance.

02How do I prepare for a prototype quote?+

Send a model or sketch, dimensions, quantity, deadline, intended environment, and the question the prototype should answer. Include any parts it needs to fit or attach to.

03Can you help iterate after the first prototype?+

Yes. Design changes and additional builds can be scoped after reviewing the first version. Revision work and repeat fabrication are confirmed in the project quote.

HAVE A PROJECT IN MIND?

Bring us the objective. We’ll engineer the path forward.
